Hermes regularly bring in external designers and studios to create their window displays across Europe. Patrick Kinmonth was invited in 2022 to produce their winter display for all Hermes stores in Switzerland, a total of 29 separate windows across 8 stores. Kinmonth designed an intricate and varied display consisting of bespoke mannequins, coloured motifs and curved backdrops to break up the space.

With 4 weeks until install I was brought onto this project as a production manager to develop his designs for fabrication, source allnecessary suppliers and ensure everything was made on schedule and to the highest quality.

Having received their initial designs it was my role to break down each component and re-design them for manufacture ensuring I did not deviate too far from the concept. This was always done with the supplier in mind, making sure that every design detail had been thought through in advance.

Having such variety of components in this project meant we needed to source over 15 different suppliers to bring it all together. This ranged from sourcing wire benders, laser cutters, CNC machinists, spray finishers, and 3D printers to produce the bespoke mannequin heads.

Models were produced in the UK and designed for easy transportation and re-assembly on site by an experienced installation team under my overall direction.
